Risingholme New Learner Award
Purpose:
To enable new learners to participate in learning to gain a new skill that provides enjoyment and growth as well as increases self-esteem, confidence, and personal satisfaction.
This fund assists new learners who would not otherwise, by reason of their financial circumstances, be able to commence, or continue with learning.

Eligibility:
To be eligible to apply for this award you must:
- Be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
- A new learner to Risingholme (have not enrolled in a Risingholme course before)
- Not be a staff member or an immediate family member of Risingholme
Eligible courses:
All courses offered at any of our locations. Excludes courses offered through partnerships and subcontracting arrangements
How to apply:
- Complete an application form, including providing a personal statement
- Personal statement:
- Introduce yourself, your background etc
- Tell us why you want to enrol in this course
- What support are you applying for
- Course Fees; and/or
- Course Related Costs (Material Costs)
- Your reason for applying for support
- Provide one referee, for example a work colleague, pastor, sports coach, employer etc (your referee must not be an immediate family member, friend or flat mate)
- Complete an online enrolment form for the course you are enrolling in selecting ‘pay in office’ payment option

Submit your completed Scholarship Application by the closing dates stated in the guidelines either email to ace@risingholme.org.nz or bring it into the office at 22 Cholmondeley Avenue during office hours, Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 4.00 pm.
Risingholme Learning will notify applicants of the decision by email within 7 working days of the closing date.
